Internet Deprived

Everybody at work seems to love the new office. We're still getting organized, working out the kinks, and trying to get all of our systems running. Thanks to those commies at SWB, we didn't have internet or email or a working fax machine today...hopefully tomorrow. Overall, I think I'm going to like it there. It's hard to be enamored of it at the moment when I had to work late (I left at 8pm) and am back in my home office now with my homework.

Mom, I'm just kidding about the commie comment (I'm cranky and overworked). My new route to work takes me past a SWB office which had people on the picket line this morning. I gave them a honk and a wave. Power to the People! Don't let The Man get you down!

that's okay jen, at the time I was not a worker at swb. I was on strike. so you were actually referring to management and scabs.

Is your new office closer or farther away from home? I'm sure moving to a new office is almost as bad as moving from one home to another. You still have to transfer services, unpack boxes, etc...

Actually moving an office is whole lot easier than moving a home. I got to throw away a bunch of stuff which is something I'm less likely to do if it's my personal stuff. Also, since it's a business expense, the company hires some kick butt movers who provide plastic crates, pack the common rooms, and move everthing including reassembling the furniture as specified in our mvoing plan. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience.
