Modern Conveniences

I think my favorite modern convenience is indoor plumbing. There's nothing I enjoy more than a long hot shower in the morning and flushable toilets are pretty much priceless. I could live without a car if I had to. I could go without electricity. But shut down the water and I'm in misery.

OK Jen! so you like indoor plumbing. Do you think this qualifies as a valid blog entry? Hey! good idea, I think I am going to blog and say I hate the way I smell when I have been around a bunch of smokers!

Well, I would have to agree about the water especially with first hand experience with electricity outage recently. Our electricity went off about 8:00 PM on Wednesday and didn't come back on until 10:30 AM on Thursday. It was strange because it wasn't even stormy. But you're right Jfer - you can read and do things by candlelight (altho' the fridge and freezer thing causes concern and Pat really misses his electric blanket). But carrying water for commodes is a pain in the neck.
