Yesterday afternoon, I called up Kathy H, one of my former co-workers, to see how she was doing. She gave birth to her 2nd child about 3-weeks ago. I ended up inviting me and Stepan over for dinner. We had a great time. The new baby is precious, big feet and a big nose and nearly invisible eyebrows and so soft and warm. His five-year-old sister, Hannah, loves him dearly and is very sweet with him. She and Stepan had a good time after dinner playing a "what am I game" that they made up together. She's a little chatterbox - just like her mother!
This worked out so well, I think I'll invade the homes of other friends for dinner on a regular basis.
Oh yeah. I should probably mention that I provided dinner...even I know that the last thing a mother with a 3-week-old baby wants to do is feed two additional mouths. Kathy really enjoyed her Chipotl burrito. It's one of her favorite fast food restraunts and she hadn't gotten a chance to eat there in a while.

However, since you went there with dinner and lots of adult companionship for Kathy, plenty of adulations for the newborn and entertainment for Hannah, I think you are very very sweet.
