Alegria

alegria_dvd.gifOne of our many engagements on Saturday night, included tickets to the Cirque du Soliel show. As expected, the show was phenomenal. Amazing feats of dexterity…synchronized acrobatics…unparalleled showmanship. I was awe-struck...still am actually. If you have even the tiniest opportunity to see this show (or any of the Cirque shows), you should definitely check it out. It was absolutely worth the $75 price of admission...though I'm not sure I could say the same for the $8 margaritas.

It was a truly amazing show, and much of the time my mouth was quite literally open with astonishment and admiration for the performances going on before my eyes. I am *SO* glad I went.

John & L loved the CdeS show we saw severals years ago, and it was hilarious, too. We had front-row seats and, of course, were running a little late. The lights had dimmed and the beginning number was just starting when we were walking down the aisle to our seat. The opening performers were so disappointed in our tardiness, they picked John to join them on-stage, much to his embarassment. Everyone knows how shy John is. They paraded him around and then took him backstage. When he returned later in the number, he had on this goofy white suit. I don't remember everything they made him do, but he was definitely opposed to the entire situation. I commiserated with him, but I really loved it!
