Homer has been very good lately about not chewing on our shoes. It has made me sadly complacent about putting my shoes up where they belong. I thought he had grown up and lost his taste for sweaty, stinky, rubber and canvass. Turns out he was only waiting for Teva season to start chowing down again!
He always looks so sad when I leave early in the morning...and I had to leave before 7am this morning since I was riding the bike in. Lucky for me, I'm not as organized as I would like to be. I had left the house for what I thought was the very last time, when I decided it would be easiest to leave my bike in the driveway, shut the garage door, then exit the house via the front door. Upon reentering the kitchen, I was met with the sight of a very happy puppy, laying on the floor in the dining room, with one of my Tevas between his paws. He was too cute to beat, but I did put all of my shoes up before I finally left for work.

It turned out to be one of the finger puppets (the sheep) that he stole from the dining room. I think it survived, although it was quite drooly.
Posted by: stepan on April 8, 2003 10:38 AMYou are one lucky female! Just think, if you hadn't gone back into the house you wouldn't have had any shoes left to put away. We are the fortunate ones. Shelbi doesn't chew on anything but her dog toys...Yeahh!!!
